"SkaZka sind sechs junge Musiker aus Russland und Deutschland. Sie alle vereint die Liebe zu kraftgeladener Musik und ihrer Heimat Berlin. Ihr musikalischer Stil liegt irgendwo zwischen russischem Folk, Klezmer, Ska, Punk, Latin-Rhythmen und slawischer Melancholie. Erlaubt ist was Spaß macht und den Schweiß aus den Poren treibt. SkaZka bedeutet übersetzt „Märchen“ und beschreibt treffend was bei einem Live-Konzert der Band passiert: Die musikalische Reise führt von den weiten Steppen des Ostens bis in die verrauchten Kneipen, wo der Wodka fließt. SkaZka besitzt die Fähigkeit alle mitzureißen, vom Raver bis zum Rechtsanwalt!"

Sprengotchki is a group of four female musicians formed in Berlin.
The quartet shares a passion for polyphonic Eastern European music from countries such as Russia, Poland or Bulgaria.
Their music is a mixture of folklore driven sounds and chamber music works of different influences, adding the sounds of the flute, clarinet and violin.
